The first is a beautiful Sherlock Holmes 'Special' Silver Lid Spigot XL15.
I just could not resist this one when I saw it on the Brucciani web site.
It is just dripping with quality Peterson silverware!
Second item is copy of an old Peterson advert showing the Peterson "Thinking Man".
I have always wanted one of these,it is so much part of the Peterson story and heritage.
Good Lord Jim! That silver lid with it's distinctive stain is absoultly beautiful. It's one for the display case for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is Chuck!
ReplyDeleteWow... I thought my XL 15 Silver Cap was beautiful, but this one puts it to shame. What a gorgeous pipe; right up my ally... but probably to pretty to smoke. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful Peterson to add to your amazing collection, Jim!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am very fond of the Heinrich Kapp portrait that graces Peterson House, and your replica is very nice! A friend of mine, who is skilled at computer graphics, sent me a fine-tuned image of the Kapp portrait (sans the reflections and fragmented frame). I have displaced my original print with the new one: a vast improvement (IMHO)! If you'd like, I'll try to send it to you via e-mail.
Thank you Bryan for your kind comments and offer of a print. However I must decline your kind offer. I already have several modern variant copies and this was the reason I went after this old print.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Jim
You're quite welcome, my friend!
